Manitoba Music Showcase at Arlene’s Grocery/Part II
As mentioned in my last post, ManitobaMusic.com held its annual showcase in Manhattan last night, at Arlene’s Grocery on the lower east side. It was a great night of live music, with four talented acts taking the stage–The Magnificent Sevens, JP Hoe, Chic Gamine, and Greg MacPherson–and a good crowd in the comfortable venue. Happy to share some photos I took during the showcase.

- The Magnificent Sevens play a prairie-tinged sort of bluegrass, driven by acoustic bass, banjo and twinned guitars.

- JP Hoe brought cello, violin, as well as bass and drums, to compliment his strong voice and songwriting.
