Smithsonian Magazine is reporting on a family in Siberia that lived for decades on the taiga, unknown to Russian authorities, seemingly unaware of (most of the rest of) civilization. The story by Mike Dash is a lengthy one, and I’m still reading it, but wanted to share it straight away. Stories like this fascinate me. May add more detail and links later on.
